Schindler's List

Actually I am not that very fan of Steven Spielberg's movies. It is when I saw the movie that I don't know the happenings in the past. Schindler's List is a list containing the names of the Jews which was made by Oskar Schindler who swindles the Theird Rich and Amon Goeth. Schiendler had no success in his business after the war against the Germans and the Jews. Its is very interesting to watch because this movie has a history behind. Liam Nesson played the role of Oskar Schiendler and he is very good to his way of acting and making his acting as good at the others. He is the main character in which all Jews seeks help to him. That is why Amon Goeth has an evil plan to kill Schindler but he didn't succeed. But only Schindler succeed in his goals to fool Amon and release some prisoners. There was this one scene when Schindler taught Amon to forgive the sin his prisoners may commit. Instead of killing them, he decided to bless and make their way out. But Amon insisted that his men are not learning when they are not punished that is why he continued killing people. There was this scene that they burn all the body of the Jewish people of about 10,000 dead, the ashes that fall from the sky comes from the burnt flesh of the victims. Until the time come when the war is over and all the prisoners which Schindler had help took out their gold teeth and make Schindler a gift which is a ring.

BABEL

The movie took place in 4 different places; MOROCCO, JAPAN, MEXICO and U.S.A. Every place has its own significant role in the movie. Each place/country are presented with the different characters.Each scene in a place/country is inter-connected with one another. Somehow you would get some questions in your mind when you watch the movie its because it has a lot of twist, it jumps from this scene to the other scene. But one thing that can make you realize that in the end of the movie; many questions but there is only one answer.

Time is very important in a movie in order for the scenes to be more realistic. Time is also given emphasis in some scenes in which, literally speaking the time or the day of the scene taken. It also serves as a hint of some directors on when to start and end the movie. When time is not part of the movie, how could the audience understand the movie.

We all know that the movie took in some places such as MOROCCO, JAPAN, USA and MEXICO. This places become one in meaning because of the gunshot- and see how each culture respond to the disturbance of a certain equilibrium. It focuses the gun, in which it came from JAPAN and was given by a farmer in MOROCCO and was played by his two sons and shot an AMERICAN lady on tour. Although the movie was a bit confusing in the first but it is just like a puzzle that slowly solved the picture. It is a bit interesting because of the twist specially with the Japanese girl and the two sons of a MOROCCAN farmer.

The Royal Tenenbaums

The Royal Tenenbaums

The movie "The Royal Tenenbaum" represents a family that needs Understanding, Love and Care with one another.Each of the characters played their roles well and they have learnes some lessons at the end of the story. They are different when in terms of characterization, they don't just act as what some actors and actresses do, they also feel their characters as well. But the characters that were focused in the movie was of Margot and Richie. At the end of the story, they both know that they are not really true siblings. Margot is just an adopted daughter that is why Richie fell in love with when they are still young, and at the end, Margot and Richie are in a relationship status.

The women in the movie portrayed their roles also very well. They act as they were an actress. In the movie, they never appreciate negative things even if they were criticize by people. They are careless in some point. Margot is a happy-go-lucky type of person. She always get what she wants specially when she needed it. While Etheline is woman that sacrifices for her own happiness. She don't look back on her family as what will be their situation on the way they live.

The gentlemen as well have a good role. They have this attitude that never give up in gaining something new. They will do their very best to get that thing in order to be happy. They are very persistent in gaining new things. They are also willing to sacrifice for others' sake.

The Characters

MARGOT TENENBAUM

Margot is an adopted daughter and a playwright of the Tenenbaums. She always seeks the love and care of her family. She ran away from home for too weeks to meet her birth family and when she came back, her one finger is missing. She is shown in the movie moping in her bathtub, smoking and watching television.

RICHIE TENENBAUM

Richie is a tennis prodigy, he secretly in love with Margot when they was still young. His tennis career was ended when his was inside the court and he suddenly have a nervous breakdown in front of thousands of fans. He is dresses with a headband a pair of suit that was tag with Fila. He decided to send Margot a letter when he was in  his ocean liner. He never had any disappointment when he confess his love to Margot because Margot also loves him.

CHAS TENENBAUM

Chas is very particular when it comes with the safety of his two boys. He has phobia after his wife died in a plane crash that is why he always train his sons how to be attentive and be alert at all times. He is also a genius in international finance; he sued his father and had him disbarred because of the bonds stolen by his father from his deposit box. His sons names are Ari and Uzi. He is always wearing a "terno red" sports wear.

Eli Cash

Eli cash always wanted to be a part of the Tenenbaum Family. He is a successful author and published many novels. He has been the best friend of Richie and he had an affair with Margot, whom Richie loved. He is always dressed with a cowboy hat and an old fashioned cowboy.

ROYAL TENENBAUM

The type of father that never minds the world when all he wanted is to be happy and make others happy specially with his two grandson. He is the father that never listened the advises of his children despite of his age and health condition. He is always dressed with a black eyeglsses and a cap.

ETHELINE TENENBAUM

She is the type of mother that sacrifices her happiness for the sake of her children. She is the mother that always comes with a saying that education first and everything will follow. She didn't tell her children that she and their father broke up and fell in love with her accountant.
